The Voice of Reason!

The Voice of Reason

Today, Pastor Winston Miller of Grace Life  Church in South Florida takes us to Matt. 28:16-20, with a profound question, “How Does God Tell Us To Live when the World Tells us Something Different?” The answer and message point us to God’s wisdom compellingly.

This weekend, we also pause to remember Martin Luther King Jr. – Dr. King is remembered primarily as a civil-rights figure. Still, he was also a pastor—and he considered his ideas about civil rights firmly rooted through Scripture. His most famous speech, “I Have a Dream,” is here.

In light of this, Pastor Winston’s message is timely. He is in our Transforming Church Cohort in South Florida. He started this church last February, right in the middle of the pandemic, and his charge to us is so important. You will see why when you watch it this morning. Please join me in watching it; you will be glad you did.

How You Can Pray

Please pray for Pastor Winston at Grace Life Church. Winston & his wife Brenda Miller grew up in South Florida, where they planted Grace Life Church. Married for over 23 years, they are the parents of Alyssa, Alexander, and Andrew.

We asked Winston how we could pray for them. He told us the church started in a house they purchased that was the eyesore of the community. They fixed it up and invited people for conversations and worship services. So, now they need a place to call home for worship, their core team to grow and mature, and simply for resources.

Pastor Winston wants to grow in his leadership to be faithful to God. Your gifts are providing some of those resources for this church and pastor. You can read about the Transforming Church Cohorts here.
