When Christ Comes Home
Last week John Yates III shared our Sunday Extra message. This week we’ll hear a message his father, John Yates II, preached at Holy Trinity in Raleigh, North Carolina. In “When Christ Comes Into My Home,” from December of 2022, John preaches from John 12. He relates how the family of Lazarus, Mary, and Martha provided a welcome place for Jesus in their house in Bethany. May He also find a welcome place in our lives and homes.
Pray for Evangelistic Fruit
This week, pray with us for the Lord to continue opening doors for Leighton Ford Ministries to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ: Ask the Lord to provide opportunities for our mentors around the world. “Pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ” (Colossians 4:3, ESV). Pray that God will prepare hearts and minds to hear the message and that many will respond in repentance and faith. “Open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and …receive forgiveness of sins” (Acts 26:18, ESV). For those who come to Christ, pray that they will have a hunger for God’s Word and will read it daily. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom” (Colossians 3:16, ESV).
