Sharing the Gospel to A Young Generation
Our guest preacher this week is someone new to most of you. Nick Hurst (no relation to Rich) is a dynamic young evangelist and the Director of Social Media for Leighton Ford Ministries. He regularly speaks to youth in retreats and revivals. He and his wife Chelsea recently wrote the book, Marriage Minded: 10 Ways to Know If You’ve Found the One. You can view it here. Praying for Lausanne
This week, let’s pray for the Lausanne Generations Conversation, which takes place at Biola University May 31 to June 3, where 120 leaders from throughout the world will meet to focus on developing intentional intergenerational relationships and collaboration. They are preparing for the Lausanne 4 Congress in 2024. Leighton is the Honorary Lifetime Chair of the Lausanne Movement (he was the official Chair from 1977-1992).
In July 1974, Billy Graham (Leighton’s brother-in-law) convened some 2,700 participants and guests from over 150 nations in Lausanne, Switzerland, for ten days of discussion, fellowship, worship and prayer. Given the range of nationalities, ethnicities, ages, occupations and church affiliations, TIME Magazine described it as “a formidable forum, possibly the widest-ranging meeting of Christians ever held.”
