Investing Our Life
A blessed November to you, friend. Today, Corey Widmer returns to Sunday Extra to share God’s Word. Corey has co-led a mentoring group with Jim Singleton for several years, and LFM’s Jim Osterhaus has coached some of their pastors. Corey speaks from Ecclesiastes 11 on the topic of how we invest our lives. At LFM, the themes of investing our lives wisely, investing deeply into other people, and allowing other people to pour richly into us are close to our hearts. Listen to Corey as he challenges us to make the most of the life the Lord has given to us.
Tuning Our Hearts to Gratitude
Billy Graham wrote, “A spirit of thankfulness is one of the most distinctive marks of a Christian whose heart is attuned to the Lord.”
We are thankful at LFM for the many ways God works around the world through the prayers and gifts of people like you. This week, let’s thank God for what He’s doing in Latin America, where Paul and Nydia Johnson gathered with 25 leaders in Colombia during October. These people represent a wide variety of Gospel ministries in South America, Central America, and Mexico. The Johnsons are investing in them, equipping these Kingdom leaders to begin mentoring groups across Latin America.
One participant shared, “It was incredibly renewing, transformative. I was able to experience the loving and restorative touch of the Lord, renewing my identity as a child of God, healing my painful memories and emotions, and revitalizing my life to continue my call to live for him and
to continue serving with passion.”
Together, we can join with the psalmist: “Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies” (Psalm 104:1-4 NLT).
