Who Do You Say that I Am?
Leighton Ford celebrated his 92nd birthday last Sunday. We want to show gratitude for him one more week by listening to his sermon from a crusade in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, from the 1960s. Leighton declares the wonderful word from Luke 9:18 that comes from Jesus’ question, “Who do men say that I am?” That question was followed by another, more penetrating one, “Who do you say that I am?”
Leighton has touched so many people with the grace and love of Christ – both through his crusade ministry and his personal mentoring in North America and throughout the world. May we all remember this part of Leighton’s life with delight.
Trusting in God’s Sufficiency
Pray with us for several Kingdom ministry opportunities. Leighton will spend time with the Point Group in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, several days this week. Dave McKechnie speaks on Friday at the Homecoming of Fuller Theological Seminary, Texas, in Houston. And Kevin Ford will be training church leaders in South Florida Friday and Saturday.
As we pray, let’s remember this truth: “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8 ESV). Let’s trust and rejoice today in His sufficiency.
