Tasting Joy

Corey Widmer from Third Church in Richmond, VA, shares regularly on Sunday Extra. During July and August, preached a series called “Taste and See.” He calls today’s sermon Taste for Joy – a wonderful expression of the banquet that awaits us in heaven and how our anticipating that event shapes us here. Corey has had many relationships with LFM, including leading a pastor mentoring group with Jim Singleton for ten years.

Today, let’s pray for Corey’s congregation. And let’s also pray for the Australian Refresh Mentoring Group that will meet this week at Point Lonsdale, Victoria. Members are Stephen Abbott, Maria Brand-Starkey, Anika Parker, Lisa Brown, Simon Koefoed, Sam McGeown, Sam Bleby, Tim Johnson, Wei-Han Kuan. Pray especially for Stephen, whose mother is in end-of-life care, and he is staying close to her.
